:) HIS Plan
Romans 3:23 tells us, " for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.". We are all born with sin that renders us spriritually broken. Sin attacks our thoughts, choices, and attitudes. It ruins our original purpose and keeps us from having a relationship with God.
Jesus came to purge our sins once and for all. Romans 5:8 declares, " God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!" While we were infected with sin, Christ died for us, paying our debt to God. 2nd Corinthians 5:21 echos, "He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the rightousness of God in Him." His death completeley clenses us from sin and gives us access to God.
Just like our computers can't fight off a virus on it's own, we are powerless to get rid of sin in our lives. Ephesians 2:8-9 confirms, " for you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift - not from works, so that no one can boast. " We can't do enough good things to make ourselves right with God. Only Christ alone has the power to heal and give us new life.
If you long to be healed of the spiritual virus called sin, and if you are ready for Christ to give you new life - follow the words of Romans 10:9 : " if you confess with your mouth, ' Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
If you choose to believe Jesus died for your sins and to receive new life through Him, pray a prayer similar to this one:
Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died to forgive me of my sins. I now accept your offer of eternal life. Thank you for forgiving me. From this day forward, I will choose to follow you.
If you prayed to accept Jesus Christ into your heart/life and want to know more please contact our church at 704-735-9976.
