The Pastor's Pen

Hello:   This is pastor David Jones.  I'm brand new at all of this blog stuff. In fact I don't even know what blog stands for. All I know is, it's a bog with and L in it. In the low county of South Carolina, the only thing you put in a Bog is Chicken.

Any How, Just want to let you know that God is doing some amazing things here at Calvary. There is such an awesome spirit of Praise and Worship to our Lord. God is opening up peoples hearts and wills to be obedient to the Leadership of the Holy Spirit.  God continues to add to the fellowship of His church. I prasie the Lord for all that He is doing.

I want to expresss my appreacaition for your prayers for our Belize Mission trip. God showed up in a mighty way. More than 30 people prayed to recieve Christ as Savior. Praise the Lord!  We were working with a church that had been through some difficult days, two groups had pull out to start new churches, three months ago three of the key leaders in the church were killed in an auto accident. Needless to say the pastor was really discouraged. Over the week we saw the Lord lift his spirit, as the little church filled up to over flowing. We were able to leave him with some great tools to help him and his church, and with the knowledge that God had birth new disciples into the fellowship. Please pray for Pastor May and his church. Cristo Rey Nazerene Church.  Pray for the next opportunity that God will present to us.

This Sunday I will beign my 12th year as Pastor of Calvary.  I have truly been blessed beyond measure to lead this great church. I am also reminded that there is still very much land to be possessed. We have some awsome challenges before us. As we seek to meet the needs of this ministry. We are in need of space to house our childrens ministry and student ministry. Up dates are need in many areas of our existing facilities. While we have many challenges we all so have a mighty Savior. I look forward with great expectations to what God will do.

Looking forward to Sunday, for a great Day of Worhsip and Praise.
