We are just days away from “Reach.” On Sunday, March 7th, 2010, we are Reaching Out for 325 in Sunday School, Reaching Up for a tremendous time of praise and worship with “Brian Free & Assurance” and we’re Reaching In for a time of refreshing, renewal and revival. As many of you are aware, this has been our theme in worship as we seek to prepare ourselves for this awesome day of praise and worship. What a blessing this past Sunday as the Lord opened His word to our ears and so many responded with open hearts to His call upon their lives. The Psalmist asked “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord, or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart”. I believe that many ascended into His presence this past Lord’s Day and we moved beyond the outer surface and began to do business with the heart. As we allowed the Lord to convict us of our sin and to cleanse us of our unrighteousness, let’s continue to walk, live and prosper in the grace and mercy that we have received, having the filthy garments of sin removed and replaced with the clean white garments of praise. Hallelujah, what a Savior. Beyond our High Attendance Day, there are so many awesome opportunities for you and your family here at Calvary this month. On Sunday, March 14th, we will observe Women’s Ministry Day. We will be privileged to have as our guest speaker, Mary Burris, from Indian Trail, NC. Mary’s story of God’s protection and grace on her life is sure to be one of the highlights of this year. You don’t want to miss it. Coming March 26-28 is our family weekend. We will have planned an awesome weekend of fun, faith and family time for you and your family. Make sure to mark your calendar to be with us for this exciting day. In closing let me say, it is such a blessing to see our church family involved in Kingdom work. Many of our Sunday School classes are involved in Mission Projects. Many of our organizational ministries are working to meet needs in our community and beyond. As you serve Him, keep this promise in mind... Ephesians 6:8 “Knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord.” What an awesome promise to know that God has a reciprocal gift for those who make an investment in His kingdom. I’m looking forward to worshipping with you throughout the month of March. I’ll see you this Lord’s Day with your Bible in your hand and a friend by your side.
